The UNL Extension Office provides a small vegetable or fruit sampling Tuesday thru Friday. Ask your students what new fruit of vegetable they got to experience today! ReadingReading is important! Students should read a minimum of 20 minutes each night. Then they may record their minutes in their Book-It Reading Log.
At the end of the month we will be giving out pizza certificates to those who return their Book It Calendar and have met the goal! Read with your children, ask them questions about what they have read, and when possible read to your children. Their reading vocabulary develops faster when others read to them.
How do we grade in 3rd grade?
Students are given a number to score their work. Beginning = 1 Progressing = 2 Proficient = 3 Advanced = 4 Word Wall WordsPlease remember to study your spelling words and Word Wall Words for your test on Friday. A pretest list will go home on Friday, which can stay at home to practice over the weekend.
